Paintrock Adventures went out of their
way for every hunter I met. Elk archery success was 50% in 1995 (2 for 4) with
both successful hunters taking 5x5 bulls while we "unsuccessful"
hunters saw plenty of animals and missed our opportunities. This is a ride in
wilderness tent hunt in beautiful country. Rifle elk success was 100% with
mostly 5x5 bulls taken and branch antlered elk passed up every day. We even
found and brought back a drop from a 400 class elk that was 2 to 3 years old. We
never saw him, but did see 8 to 10, 6x6 bulls that we never got an opportunity
to take. I personally had opportunities at a 27" + mule deer when my primer
failed and a 30" mule deer that I missed with my pistol. I video taped a
nice 5x5 mule deer taken at 100 yards with a muzzle loader that would be great
on your Odyssey series.
Without exception every hunter I met
(9) had a terrific time and plan to return. Wyoming has a draw for elk (Deadline
is Jan 31), but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.
