In 15 years of hunting elk this year
was by far my most successful year. Past hunts in Montana, Utah and Idaho
provided memorable hunting experiences, however the harvest was mostly elk tag
soup, a spike bull and a cow. Trophies consisted of well-worn boots. Paintrock
Adventures is a well run, organized guide service, providing you a personal one
on two guide to hunter ratio. Todd is very careful in controlling hunting
pressure, insuring plentiful game. Hunting areas are skillfully left undisturbed
providing outstanding hunting. The food and accommodations are great. With home
cooked meals, equipment is in excellent condition and competence of personnel is
the highest. Todd possesses outstanding abilities to field judge trophies and
care for them in the field after the animal is down. I personally observed the
great care used in caping out the head and preparing the hide to make sure it
would be a nice mount for me. After hunting with Paintrock Adventures, hunting
anywhere else would be second rate.
